Seakeeper Ride: In a category of its own

The Proof Is in the Performance

When it comes to motion control, not all systems are created equal. At Seakeeper, we don’t just talk about innovation — we prove it. As motion control experts, we understand the physics behind eliminating underway pitch, roll, and yaw. That expertise is what powers Seakeeper Ride, the most advanced and responsive transom-mounted system in the market today.

To show just how far ahead Seakeeper Ride really is, we put it to the test — mounting Seakeeper Ride, Zipwake, and Lenco systems on three identical Sportsman Boats Open 262 Centre Consoles (8.0 m). The results spoke for themselves.

“I am confident each product in this evaluation was given a very fair shake. That said, the performance results, particularly in roll and pitch stabilisation, weren’t close. Seakeeper Ride outperformed the other two systems in every condition, measurement, and onboard experience. The results section runs the risk of becoming an ad for Seakeeper Ride.”
Benjamin Stein, Panbo.com

Independent testing confirmed that Seakeeper Ride achieved an average 26% reduction in pitch and 30% reduction in roll, while competitive systems such as Lenco and Zipwake showed smaller improvements under the same test conditions. These results highlight the precision and responsiveness of Seakeeper Ride’s advanced control system.

Actuators on Seakeeper Ride move 40 times faster than Lenco and 20 times faster than Zipwake, responding instantly to changes in wave and vessel motion. Its real-time variable gain algorithm automatically adjusts to sea state, hull shape, and wave direction — no manual tuning required. With around 11 times more lift-to-drag authority, Seakeeper Ride corrects pitch, roll, and yaw efficiently, applying only the force needed to maintain balance and minimise drag.

The result is a noticeably steadier and more controlled ride in varying conditions, with improved comfort and handling for everyone on board.

The verdict? Seakeeper Ride isn’t just better — it’s in a category of its own.
