Seakeeper 1 The Smallest Seakeeper Ever. To Launch in Australia in July.

Seakeeper, the leader in marine stabilization, recently launched its newest, smallest and most radically different model yet, the Seakeeper 1, at the Miami International Boat Show. Pacific Region Distributor Twin Disc Pacific, has announced the new Seakeeper 1 will arrive in Australia in July.

The Seakeeper 1 is designed to eliminate up to 95% of boat roll on vessels 23-30 feet(7-9 metres) or up to 5.5 tonne, whilst also reducing roll in boats down to 20 feet. With a fresh, new look, the Seakeeper 1 includes unique features such as flush mount installation, 12V DC power, fast spool time, control key pad, a viewing window, single cylinder brake and more.

Flush mount installation means the Seakeeper 1 is completely contained with no part of the sphere hanging below the point of installation. With a height of only 40 centre metres, deck installation beneath a seat is easier than ever.

The viewing window offers a fresh new look, including a window on the top of the unit, making the Seakeeper 1 even more appealing for above-deck installation and for owners to show off their new feature.

The Seakeeper 1 relies solely on 12V DC power, and thanks to the vacuum encapsulation consumes only 55 amps and with a totally unique flywheel and smaller envelope, can start stabilizing in just 15 minutes.

A control keypad, called the ConnectBox, is directly on top of the unit meaning the Seakeeper can be controlled from the helm, or directly from the unit itself. A single cylinder brake means the unit is completely hose-less and self-contained single cylinder active control is engineered for enhanced performance and reliability.

“Since Seakeeper started, this is the product we wanted to bring to the industry,” said Seakeeper President & CEO Andrew Semprevivo. “The Seakeeper 1 is the smallest, most innovative and most efficient gyro stabilizer on the market. Today is a monumental day for us as we realize our goal to bring stabilization to the masses.” More than 12 boat manufacturers already have plans to integrate the Seakeeper 1 into their newest models, some of which include Jupiter Marine, Regal Boats, SeaVee Boats, SEA PRO Boats and Cobia Boats.

“The new Seakeeper 1 has seen incredible uptake in the US with many small to medium boat manufacturers having already installed units and marketing their ranges with Seakeeper 1 onboard, and we’re in discussions with a number of local boat builders to have units installed as soon as they arrive,” said Twin Disc Pacific Seakeeper Sales Specialist Tom Kalic. We think Seakeeper 1 will be a game-changer for the trailer-able fishing boat market as off-shore fisherman realise the benefits of Seakeeper, Tom went on to say.

The Seakeeper 1 will arrive in Australia in July with a pre-launch viewing at the upcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May and a full launch at Sydney International Boat Show in July.
