Founded in 1951 by Cornelis Veth as a sole proprietorship specializing in motor repairs, welding, and construction, Veth Propulsion has evolved into a leader in marine propulsion technology. Significant milestones include the introduction of the Veth-Jet in 1969, the Z-Drive in 1986, and the counter-rotating Z-Drive in 1997. The company expanded its capabilities with innovations like the Compact-Jet in 2002, the Hybrid Drive in 2012, and the Compact Grid and Elbow Thruster the same year. With key developments such as opening new facilities in 1984, 2011, and 2016, and the acquisition by Twin Disc, Inc. in 2018, Veth Propulsion, now operating as Veth Propulsion by Twin Disc, has built a strong legacy of innovation and excellence in marine propulsion over more than 70 years.
